It has been a long time since a pure love story came on screen and made sure that you don’t get bored and watch it till the end. The 2 hours and 30 minutes run time doesn’t feel a long one.
Music is the soul

Saiyaara has captured the heart with its songs. Kudos to the lyricist. The lyrics are meaningful. There is no intention to make it a catchy number, just pure soul. The theatre experience is worth it. There is no song that you would not like to listen to again. The album is a classic and will stay relevant for years.
With Saiyaara, Dhun, Barbaad, Tum to Hoh and Humsafar, the album just makes you groove.
Actors have done a fab job!

Both Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Pada have been terrific in their roles. There is no doubt. You cry with them, you feel the pain, and when they break, you also. There is no thought of nepotism when you watch the movie because you don’t even think about them as individuals. They are just Krish Kapoor(Ahaan Pandey) and Vaani Batra(Aneet Padda) on screen.
The supporting actors, too, have been apt in their roles. Shaan R Grover as Mahesh Iyer, Geeta Aggarwal as Vaani’s mother, Rajesh Kumar as Vaani’s Father and Varun Badola as Krish’s Father have done their job well. Alam Khan as KV has been a friend whom everyone wants. The cast made sure that the Saiyaara’s story came alive.
Storytelling is pure!

Both the leads are debutants, but the story is what you remember. The actual focus on telling the story takes the cake. There is no unnecessary push to bring an item song. True love and friendship is what triumphs in the movie and you could see that.
People have called Saiyaara predictable. Maybe it is. People have called Saiyaara clichéd. Maybe it is.
It is not a very out-of-the-box movie. But, after a very long time, you could see a pure love story on-screen. You could feel the heartbreak and wanted the leads to be together.
If you want to go, go to experience a love story. If you want to have thrills and laughter then it might not be for you.
